2026 Albert Lea Riders activities
On July 7th, 2026, 14 Riders attended the funeral of Drew Grandia, husband of Connie. The RIders presented the flag line in honor of Drew and Connie at the Boldt funeral home. Connie is a long time Albert Lea VA clinician and a great supporter of the veterans. Connie is surrounded by her son and daughter along with Albert Lea veterans and spouses.

Flag Line April 16th, 2026
2026 Rider of the Year was presented to Cheryl Freitag by Terry Lewis, Riders Director, at the March 24th Rider meeting.

On Feb 14th, Terry Lewis, Albert Lea Rider Director presented a check of $500 to the newly formed Junior Auxiliary members and Paulette Anderson, Jr Auxiliary leader.
Feb 20th the Post 56 Legion Riders presented $1,000.00 to the Quilts of Valor. Presenting the donation was Paulette Anderson Rider Chaplain, Beth Birch Assistant Rider Director, Tom Norby Rider Safety Officer, Ole Olson Post Commander, Linda Harig QOV leader, and Theresa Knudtson Rider secretary.
